Tēnā koutou katoa,
The Waikato Science and Technology Fair committee would like to acknowledge the effort and hard mahi that the students have put into their entries this year.
Unfortunately, we feel running a full physical fair is not possible under the current Covid alert level. Thus we ran a slightly amended fair where exhibits (Boards) were be displayed and judged in the last week of Term 3.
Due to the volatile nature of these Covid times, we did not be have a prize-giving event, but prizes and awards were be distributed to schools to present in the first week of term 4.
Our commitment is to recognise the outstanding scientific endeavours that students (with the support of their whanau) have produced. We feel that this was the safest and fairest way in which we can provide students with an opportunity to be rewarded. We thank you for your support in making this year’s unique fair a memorable one. We look forward to running a full event in 2022, as possible.
